Actually, I can check three things off this list all from this weekend; visit the pumpkin patch, go on a hayride, camp at Jellystone Park for Fall Fiesta. However, the pumpkin patch deserves it's own post.
We left Friday right at 4 because we wanted to get there in time for the hey, hey, hey ride. But, once we got there Mason didn't want to ride. So, we spent the evening decorating our campsite. We went all out and it was so much fun. My MIL brought 3 tubs of Halloween stuff and we used a lot of it.
Saturday morning we woke up pretty early to go sign up for all of the Saturday & Sunday events. And then shortly after it was time to get on the hayride to go plant Mason's magic pumpkin seeds. We did this last year and had a blast so we decided to do it again this year. And we are glad we did.
After we planted Mason's magic pumpkins we went to the Pumpkin patch. We had a few hours in between events at Jellystone..so we used the time to head over to Mainstay Farms. I will post about our time there tomorrow.
After the pumpkin patch we headed back to Jellystone for antique Firetruck rides! While waiting in line Mason got to see Yogi. He loves him!
After firetruck rides it was time for the costume contest. I don't like how they do this part. It's by crowd applause only. And unless you have a large group with you that will yell and clap you don't win anything! But, that's okay! We still had trick or treating to do. This is so much fun! Most of the campers participate and it's the neatest thing! I love seeing all of the kids dressed up and trick or treating!
That evening we also did a haunted hay ride and trail walk and a maze {by flashlight}. The characters in the maze handed out candy. Mason had a blast. And he did so good in the haunted parts. He kept saying, 'they're just wearing costumes just like me'.
Sunday morning we woke up to go harvest Mason's pumpkin!!! Another hayride, yeah!!!
Until next time Jellystone....
