A few days ago Mason mentioned that he had a hole in the knee of his pants and he was acting sad about it. I told him that it was okay and that it was almost Spring/Summer in Texas and he'd be wearing shorts in no time. Daddy also told him how it's "cool" to have holes in your pants that big boys like that and showed him a couple pairs of his with holes.
Fast forward to Monday...Mason and I are at the snowcone stand for an after school date and I notice a giant hole in his pants. I asked him if he made that tiny hole bigger and he says...
"Yes Mama, I wanted to be like my Daddy!"
My heart melted into a giant puddle. Can't be mad about that! I just adore the love this child has for his Daddy.
Aw that's so sweet! I love the things kids say! They don't realize how significant they are, but my goodness can they melt your heart. When the little guy I nanny for finally learned how to say my name (kids really struggle with saying Lisa) and could put that together with love you I cried.
ReplyDeleteThat's the cutest thing! Wyatt definitely loves to be and do whatever daddy is doing.
ReplyDeleteThat's the sweetest thing ever! I love watching my son mimic daddy. It's so cute watching that relationship grow.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, so sweet!
ReplyDeleteawww that's precious! I love when kids want to be just like their daddy or mama. Too sweet!
ReplyDeleteSo sweet!!!
ReplyDeleteNoe, can't be mad with your little man, although I probably would get mad at my husband for making a hole in the knee TOO appealing, lol. I just heard a tip to patch the knees of torn pants with fabric in characters your kid likes, I might start doing that.
ReplyDeleteaww that is sweet!!! Definitely can't be mad about that.
ReplyDeleteThat is so so sweet! Little boys can be pretty precious. :)
ReplyDeleteSO SWEET! I can't wait until my Mason starts doing this like this too :)
ReplyDeleteSo sweeeeet! Dreydan tries to make holes in his pants and it drives me CRAZY. All of his nice jeans have that faded white mark on the knees because he's constantly scooting around on them.
ReplyDeleteMason is seriously the cutest and sweetest little boy ever!
ReplyDeleteIf that isn't the sweetest thing I've ever heard! Connor has been much more attached to his Poppy this week and asks about him more often throughout the day. While I want him to always be a Momma's boy, it's beautiful watching him grow his relationships with others.
ReplyDeleteThat is just so sweet :). I bet Daddy felt so proud.
ReplyDeleteAwwww! So sweet. Dads have such an impact on their kiddos!
ReplyDeletehaha!! So sweet, that one!
