{Mason // Mutton Bustin}

A couple Sundays ago we walked by the rodeo arena at church and Mason started asking questions. We had talked about going to the Thursday night Youth Rodeo night but just hadn't made it yet. So we decided we would go next Thursday. For Mason's age they Mutton-bust {ride a sheep}. He really wanted to ride a bull but settled for riding a sheep. The child has no fear. Anyhow, we talked about it every day until Thursday just to make sure it was something he really wanted to do. He didn't budge and was adamant! So we planned for it. 

Thursday evening we headed over to the church {maybe just a little too early!!} and got him all signed up. Then he and his Daddy went to get him fitted for a vest and helmet. We got there at 6:30 and the rodeo didn't start until after 7:15. Needless to say, we had one very anxious little boy. He was ready to ride!! Thankfully, they start off with mutton-bustin! Mason and Nate went into the chutes to get ready and I got my camera ready. Honestly, I didn't get any good pictures of the actual ride. For one, it didn't last very long and two I was too far away. Mason had fun and did really good! Will he do it again? He goes back and forth! We'll see...
