Thursday evening we headed over to the church {maybe just a little too early!!} and got him all signed up. Then he and his Daddy went to get him fitted for a vest and helmet. We got there at 6:30 and the rodeo didn't start until after 7:15. Needless to say, we had one very anxious little boy. He was ready to ride!! Thankfully, they start off with mutton-bustin! Mason and Nate went into the chutes to get ready and I got my camera ready. Honestly, I didn't get any good pictures of the actual ride. For one, it didn't last very long and two I was too far away. A friend of ours took a video, but it keeps saving sideways. If you want to watch it anyway click here . It's really cute!
Mason had fun and did really good! Will he do it again? He goes back and forth! We'll see...
Has your child ever done anything like this? Is Mutton-Bustin a thing where you live? Do you have Cowboy Churches there?
Such a handsome cowboy!
ReplyDeleteAH I love this! I was super excited when I saw your picture of him the other day and couldn't wait to see this post! All Texas that little cowboy of yours! Super cute!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely never heard of such a thing but he is oh so cute all ready to go do it!
ReplyDeleteSUCH a cutie! Look at that little cowboy! I love it. So much fun for Nate and Mason to do together!
ReplyDeleteYesssss! This is the best! Growing up there was always mutton busting at our county fair. And, while I never participated, it was always so much fun to watch!
ReplyDeleteMason's little outfit is just PERFECT for the event. Love it!
