Mason started private swim lessons this week. The only time the instructor had open {by grace of someone else cancelling} was for weekdays at 1:30, so my mother in law has been taking him for us. He came home pretty excited yesterday. His instructor asked him to go under the water for 10 seconds and he went for 28 seconds. That's a big deal for a kid that just up until a week ago didn't like his face to get wet! ha. Anyhow...he came home from swim lessons and made this face ^^ and says...
"Look Mama I don't even have to hold my nose to hold my breff at swim lessons. See"
Oh parenthood....even the simplest of things make you so darn proud!!!
Oh and in other news...he now wants to be a lifeguard when he gets bigger.
Awww, so sweet! Best of luck to him with his lessons! Swimming lessons were the greatest part of my childhood summers :)
ReplyDeleteIt's an amazing feeling when we accomplish something and your son should be very proud of himself!
ReplyDeleteIt really is the little things because they really are the big things in life! That is awesome he ia catchin9on so quickly! Way to go Mason!
ReplyDeleteSo sweet! It's amazing how proud you feel when your kid is beaming with pride..it's almost as if we did it ourselves :)
ReplyDeleteAs a lifeguard and swim instructor this whole post makes me beam. Tell him being a lifeguard rocks! It is by far the coolest summer job, ever! Not many people get to say their work attire is a swimsuit, whistle, and sunscreen. :)
ReplyDeleteKeep up the great work, Mason!!
So sweet! I can't wait to start swim lessons with my girls when they're old enough :) I love the reminder to savor the little things.

So cute!!! 28 seconds is impressive! I am a swimmer and I don't even know if I could do that ;)
ReplyDeleteThis is so cute, haha!!
ReplyDeleteAaahhh! Great job Mason that is so awesome! I can't wait for our swim lessons to start!
ReplyDeleteI'd be so proud too!!! That vid of Aria jumping under the water was pretty much the first of that thing, before she would not get her face wet either! Totally deserving of pride =)
ReplyDeleteDefinitely something to be proud of. He's so cute though holding his breath!! And how great that he loves it! I've been thinking of doing swim lessons for Zander but he seems to be doing better with just me and him one on one. He'll let me float him in the middle now!
