{DIY Christmas Stocking Name Tags}

I recently met my friend Keri at Hobby Lobby to exchange a few items we are putting together for a giveaway {follow us here for more on that} and to do a little shopping. She mentioned she was looking for some wooden tags to make some DIY Christmas stocking name tags and I knew I had to copy her!! I have been swooning over Julie's name tags for quite some time and have been wanting to make some! So glad Keri reminded me! Is it just me or does anyone else draw a complete blank about all the projects they want to complete once they are actually at Hobby Lobby? Or maybe I get distracted because there is so much to look at! Anyhow, here are my DIY Christmas Stocking Name Tags...

Supplies needed:
Wooden Tags
Vinyl
Cricut (or other cutting machines)
Transfer tape
Weeding tool and scraper tool

We found these adorable wooden tags near the wedding department at Hobby Lobby. It was a 12 pack for only $4.99. My cashier let me use my 40% off coupon on them, but Keri's did not because it had a yellow tag. Either way, it's a great deal. I have plans for the tags I didn't use! I had everything else I needed at home to finish the project, which was a plus. I keep a good stash of indoor/outdoor vinyl at home for random projects like so. I created the name pngs in PicMonkey (I just find it easier than creating them in Cricut Design Space) and I used a font called Cherry Cordial. Then I uploaded that PNG into design space, set the size I needed and cut them. Then I weeded them, put transfer tape over them and transferred them over to the tape, then transferred them on to the tags. Easy as pie! From start to finish, I bet it didn't take me but 10 minutes. And look how much they spruce up our Christmas Stockings! I just love them!

Now, go check out Keri's post HERE. She took her tags a step further and they came out so cute!!

So tell me, do you have name tags on your stockings?
