{CALIFORNIA // DAY ONE // TESLA, SAN FRANCISCO, GOLDEN GATE BRIDGE}

 We arrived in California mid-morning yesterday. After a stressful couple of hours in the rental car line and at the desk, we got our rental and were on our way. Long story short, they were low on cars. The original car we rented wasn't available so they upgraded us to a Tesla at no extra cost to us. We didn't tell Mason because we wanted to surprise him. He's always been a Tesla fan!

It was going to be a few hours before our house was ready so we all split in different directions to do different things. Nate, Mason, and I hopped in the Tesla (once we figured everything out) and headed to San Francisco.

Mason has always wanted to see the Golden Gate Bridge. We were within an hour from it so we said why the heck not! It was a bit stressful for Nate to drive in California traffic for the first time, all the while learning how to drive a different car. But, he did wonderful and we arrived safely in San Francisco! It was amazing to see the Golden Gate Bridge in real life and to actually drive across it. We could also see Alcatraz from the bridge!

Then we drove around to see a bit more of San Francisco and to see the painted ladies. The drive home took us double the time it took to get there due to traffic. We just took it easy, grabbed some In and Out Burger, and charged the Tesla. We were feeling very "Californian" doing those things. haha!

We got back to our house and just hung out with the friend group for the rest of the evening. It was a great first day!
