A Little Piece of Paris in Texas: Visiting the Eiffel Tower in Paris, TX
If you ever find yourself road-tripping through northeast Texas, there’s a quirky and charming stop you absolutely shouldn’t miss: Texas’s very own Eiffel Tower. That’s right—located in the heart of Paris, Texas, this fun landmark is a playful nod to the famous Eiffel Tower in Paris, France, and it adds a unique touch of European flair to small-town Texas.
This Lone Star version of the Eiffel Tower was built in 1993 and stands 65 feet tall—about one-sixteenth the size of the original. While it may not rival the height of its French counterpart, it definitely wins points for personality. In true Texas fashion, this Eiffel Tower comes with a bright red cowboy hat perched on top, making it both a photo-worthy attraction and a proud symbol of Texan creativity and humor.
Even though we have family in Paris, Texas and have visited the area many times, we had somehow never stopped by the town’s famous Eiffel Tower. It was always just a little out of the way, or we were too focused on getting to our next stop. But on the way home from our recent Broken Bow trip, we finally made it happen—and I’m so glad we did! It was such a fun and unexpected way to wrap up our vacation.
Whether you’re passing through town or planning a weekend getaway, the Eiffel Tower in Paris, TX is worth the stop. It’s perfect for a quick photo op, a moment of fun, and a chance to say you’ve seen the Eiffel Tower—cowboy hat and all—without ever leaving Texas.
