{Rainbows and Sunsets}

We were on our way home last night and saw the most incredible and vibrant rainbow in the sky! We then made our way over to our secret little spot near Waxahachie lake to watch the sunset. I love how pretty the sunset can be after a storm!

{Date Night // Farmluck & Chasing Sunsets}

 Nathan and I were blessed with a little date night and we spent it doing some of my favorite things! We went to eat on the town square at Farmluck and then capped off the evening by watching the sunset over the lake. I love this time I get to spend with my sweet man!

{Sunsets & Slurpees}

 One of my favorite things to do midweek is to chase the sunset with Nathan! We have a secret little spot out at the lake that we love to go to! On this particular night, we grabbed some Slurpees before driving out to the lake. It was the perfect little date with my favorite person!

{A spring sunset}

 If you know anything about me by now, you know that I love sunsets. I will forever be that girl chasing sunsets and photographing them the best way I know how! I mean, look how pretty! God is so gracious to give us such beauty all around us.

{God painted the most incredible sky}

The other day we were getting ready to load the Jeep onto the trailer and came out to see the most incredible sky! God sure does paint us so much beauty to enjoy! I was pretty much speechless...

{CHASING SUNSETS 2021 //VOL.2}

 I'm going to let you in on a little secret...if you want to win over my heart, just invite me to go chase the sunset with you! haha! But seriously. I could never grow tired of chasing the sunset. I mean, it's such an incredible gift that God shares with us every evening.  And if you really think about it, chasing the sunset is quite like our walk with the Lord and spending time with Him. You get away from the world and experience something much bigger. Something more beautiful. Something incredible and so indescribable. I'm sure the exact same could be said about the sunrise, but lets be honest, I'm not a 'rise before the sun' kind of girl. There's very few things I will wake that early for! Anyhow, I am so thankful for a husband that supports my crave for chasing the sunset and I am even more thankful for that time I get to spend with him.

{First topless day in the Jeep // March 2021}

 It's hard to believe that just a few short weeks before we were under a winter storm and experiencing below zero temps. And then BAM! Jeep topless weather. That's Texas for you! Mason and I went to grab a snowcone for an afternoon treat and we took all the backroads to/from. It was too pretty of a day to not get out and enjoy it!!

{CHASING SUNSETS // Summer nights at the lake // 2020}

Chasing sunsets is one of my favorite everyday adventures. God is so gracious to give us these beautiful skies and I am so thankful for these little treasures. Every time I see one I am reminded of just how much our Heavenly Father loves us! And how mighty He is.

{Oh THOSE SUMMER NIGHTS // 2020}

{Sunflowers // 2020}

It's no secret around here that I love sunflowers! Actually, I am a bit obsessed with them. There is just something so beautiful about sunflowers and sunflower fields. I've posted about them several times on the blog (here, here, here, here, and there were more but I lost all my pictures when Photobucket decided to shut down). We've already been out several times this year and I can't get enough!

{FIVE ON FRIDAY // DIY SHELVING & STORAGE, MASON'S WELL CHECK, HOME}

It's been forever since I have written a Five on Friday post! Since I'm no longer writing the "Our Quarantined Life" posts, I thought this would be a good way to dump out some of the week's randomness. So, here goes...

{Chasing Sunsets 2020 // vol. 2}

God’s timing is always so absolutely perfect!! Tonight I asked Nate if we could take a drive through the backroads...a little sunset cruise with the top down on the Jeep. The weight of the world was starting to get overwhelming and I just needed to get out of the house. Driving the backroads and chasing the sunset is so, so good for my soul. It always resets my mood and I can literally feel the stress and worries melt away. As we were driving I saw something I have never really seen or paid attention to before. We have passed by this rodeo arena a hundred times, but tonight I saw it so clear - “In God we Trust”. And then we decided to take a backroad we have never taken before and then I see “Be Still and Know”!! God put us right where we needed to be right when I needed it most. Thank you, Lord

{Chasing sunsets 2020 // vol. 1}

Note:
This was before our shelter in place and quarantine.  Just late in posting it!

One of my favorite things to do in the spring & summer is cruise the backroads around our town. It's this time of year that the wildflowers start popping up and the sunsets are indescribable. The day after our spring break trip we decided to go eat at our favorite little old-time soda shop on the square and then drive to chase the sunset!

{God painted the sky}

A couple weeks ago we were on our way to get Mason some froyo when God painted the most perfect sky! I asked Nate to pull over so that I could take some photos! He happily obliged! He's used to my shenanigans and sometimes even encourages it! Goodness, I love that man.

{Chasing sunflowers and sunsets}

Let me preface this by saying that I really, really love sunflowers. They make my heart so happy. We made three trips to the sunflower fields this summer and I loved each and every trip!! The drive there is gorgeous and then the fields are just breathtaking! Backroads are so good for my soul.

{Chasing Sunsets // Spring 2019}

If you've been around my blog for any length of time then you know that taking a backroad in the Jeep to chase a sunset is one of my favorite things ever! We usually catch some really great sunsets over the lake or a farm just outside of town. This spring has offered us some really great sunsets so far!

{Chasing Sunsets in the Jeep}

If you've been around my blog or my Instagram for a while you probably know that chasing sunsets is one of my favorite things ever! Often times throughout the week (or even on the weekend) we will hop in the Jeep, take some back roads and chase the sunset. I hope that the amazing and beautiful work of God is something that I never ever take for granted! And, it's such a good 'reset' for me.
