{Our shop makeover}

 After we worked on refreshing the chicken coop, we were inspired to give our shop a makeover! It was in dire need of a makeover!

{Ghost Malone}

 I was scrolling either Facebook or Instagram when I ran across this shirt. I immediately went to Etsy to see if  there was an SVG for it and there was!!! It was an instant purchase/download. I like to make my own so that I can pick out the type of sweatshirt I put it on! So what was it???

{NEW SIGN FOR THE CHICKEN COOP // 2022}

When we first reno'd our chicken coop, I made a round wood sign to hang on the top of the coop. I loved it and it was pretty adorable. I made the flowers on the sign to match those in the flower boxes. However, at the time I didn't think about changing out the flowers in the boxes with the seasons! So then the flowers on the sign never matched those in the boxes and that bothered me. lol. Anyhow, over time the sign started to weather and it was time for a new one. So, I whipped this one up...

{Board and Brush Christmas Party // 2021}

 Every year my coworkers and I gather for a Christmas celebration. There are only three of us here in the DFW area and the rest of the company resides in the Seattle, WA area. We usually meet for supper and then go to some kind of hands-on event. We have done cooking classes, painting with a twist, and for the last few years, we have done Board and Brush. Board and Brush is a DIY woodworking studio. It's such a fun time and then you get to bring home an awesome piece for your home. The first year I made a huge nativity sign, the second year I made a wood Christmas box (that I fill with twinkle lights, ornaments, and pine cones), and this year I made...

{DIY round wood sign for the front porch}

 You may have noticed the "hello" sign in my post from yesterday about our fall porch. I have found a passion for making these round wood signs lately and had an idea for our front porch!

{Skull and Jenga Pumpkins DIY}

 I used to think Pinterest was dangerous (making me want to do all the things) but now Tik Tok has taken the cake! There are so many awesome crafts/diys on there! And, I love that there are so many Dollar Tree diys/crafts/hacks on there. Fun and inexpensive crafts are my jam!

{Fall craftin' in August}

 I decided to get a little jump on some fall crafting this year! Usually, by the time fall rolls around, I am so ready for Christmas. So, fall craftin' in August it is.

{QUARANTINE HOME PROJECT #8 // Wreath Refresh}

I like to switch up my wreaths with the season (or when they start looking ratchet! ha). It was well past time to update this one. I wanted it to be more spring/summery. I think I nailed just that!

{QUARANTINE HOME PROJECT #7 // DIY ROUND WOOD "GATHER" SIGN}

You know I love me a good DIY! I started seeing these DIY round wood signs popping up on Pinterest and Facebook and knew I had to make one. And then after we finished our picnic table we had this big empty wall that needed something to fill the space. And then it hit me - a round wood sign. And I knew just what I wanted it to say.

{FIVE ON FRIDAY // DIY SHELVING & STORAGE, MASON'S WELL CHECK, HOME}

It's been forever since I have written a Five on Friday post! Since I'm no longer writing the "Our Quarantined Life" posts, I thought this would be a good way to dump out some of the week's randomness. So, here goes...

{QUARANTINE HOME PROJECT #6 // PORCH CHAIR UPDATE}

Isn't it amazing what a fresh coat of paint will do to something? We have this really awesome chair on our porch that came from Nathan's Grandfather's place. When we first moved it out to our new home the paint was chippy and it was rusty. We painted it red as it matched our decor back then. But now it didn't really match anything we had. So, I painted it and added a cushion to make it fit the space better!

{QUARANTINE HOME PROJECT #5 // NEW VINYL ON PLANTER}

After we got our post up for our hanging lights I wasn't loving the saying on the metal bucket. The "Mercantile" was one of the first things I did when I got my Cricut...and it shows. It's lopsided and just lackluster. The bucket has been sitting in our garage since. Now that we are using it on our newly done porch I knew it needed a facelift.

{QUARANTINE HOME PROJECT #4 // HANGING LIGHTS}

One thing I have been wanting to do forever was hanging some lights over our patio. I think this has been on my season bucketlist for a year or maybe even two. They are just so dreamy and I wanted them bad! Especially now that we have our new picnic table there. So, we tackled this project last weekend.

{QUARANTINE HOME PROJECT #3 // FIREPIT}

I left a tiny hint of our third home project in the last picture of the Picnic Table Project. :) We re-did our firepit. We've actually had it for years, but just recently started using it. We needed to re-level the ground and then we wanted to add another row of stones.

{QUARANTINE HOME PROJECT #2 // PICNIC TABLE PROJECT}

I mentioned in my "Naming the Good Stuff" post that we have been tackling projects we've talked about doing for years. One of those projects was re-doing our picnic table. We inherited a picnic table that Nate's Grandfather or Uncle built many, many years ago. It was awesome but in dire need of some new wood. So, we did just that.

{OUR QUARANTINED LIFE // WEEK 7}

Week seven? It just seems unreal! Seven weeks of quarantine and staying at home as much as possible. Still ready to travel and camp, but still equally enjoying the time at home. I love getting projects done and making the outside of our property such an enjoyable place to be. Here's a look at our week.

{DIY Christmas Stocking Name Tags}

I recently met my friend Keri at Hobby Lobby to exchange a few items we are putting together for a giveaway {follow us here for more on that} and to do a little shopping. She mentioned she was looking for some wooden tags to make some DIY Christmas stocking name tags and I knew I had to copy her!! I have been swooning over Julie's name tags for quite some time and have been wanting to make some! So glad Keri reminded me! Is it just me or does anyone else draw a complete blank about all the projects they want to complete once they are actually at Hobby Lobby? Or maybe I get distracted because there is so much to look at! Anyhow, here are my DIY Christmas Stocking Name Tags...

{DIY // porch pumpkin revamp}

If you have been around my blog for a minute then you know that crafting is my jam! I try to work on at least one project a weekend. I enjoy it and find it therapeutic too. And, what good is all those Pinterest pins if you never put them to use? Right? Last weekend was kind of a weird weekend with me being ill and all. The only craft I had done was making some onesies for my niece that is due in December {and I totally forgot to take pictures}. So Sunday evening I was itching to make something, but I didn't really have anything planned. One trip to my porch changed that! I saw my porch pumpkin I made several years ago and it was in dire need of a revamp...

{Three Black Cats // DIY}

DIY'ing and crafting are my jam! A weekend is just not complete for me if it didn't involve crafting of some kind. I am obsessed and find it quite therapeutic. I can't remember where I first saw this idea, Pinterest probably, but I have been wanting to make these for the longest time. I knew that we probably had a piece of wood in the shop I could use and I had everything else in my craft closet to make these three black cats for my porch! So, a couple of weekends ago I did just that.

{Board and Brush // Make and Take}

Last Thursday Mason, Michelle and I went to an event at Board and Brush. One Thursday a month all of the shops on the square stay open late (until 8:00pm) for a ladies night. Board and Brush also host a "make and take" event on that night. For $15 bucks you can choose from about 10-15 different things. We have been wanting to try Board and Brush for the longest and this was the perfect opportunity to do so.
