{Easter}

The older I get, the more I love the Easter holiday! There's nothing better than celebrating the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus!! We started the day off at church. I always love our Easter services at church.

{Easter 2022}

Easter has quickly become one of my favorite holidays. I love celebrating the resurrection of our Lord and Savior! We had a weekend full of Easter festivities. Friday was the Easter carnival at church, then an evening of worship at the Good Friday Service, then Saturday and Sunday were spent with the family.

{Good Friday Service}

 Our church had a Good Friday service and I barely have any words to describe how amazing it was! It will forever be one of my favorite days I have shared with Nate. It was such a beautiful and moving night of worship.

{Easter at NeNaw's}

 NeNaw's home had a family Easter gathering today and it was such an amazing time!! They supplied food, drinks, and had an Easter egg hunt for the kiddos!  There was even a special appearance from a Peep!! We enjoyed all of the family time together.

{Easter 2021 // Part 2}

 We spent Easter Sunday morning here at home. Mason opened his Easter basket and we hung out and made the foods we were taking to Nate's parent's house. It was nice to have a slow-going morning here at home. Mason loved all the things that I found for him at Canton!

{Easter 2021 // Part 1}

 We celebrated Easter with my mom's side of the family on Saturday, April 3rd. We had our gathering at my mom & dad's house. So many of our family members were able to come and it made my heart so happy! We had such a great day together.

{Easter Chicks // March 2021}

 I'm sure y'all knew this post was coming! Having chicks around Easter time was too fun. I had to take some Easter pictures of them. So dang precious!!

{Easter Sunday 2020 // The Quarantined Edition}

While Easter looked a lot different this year, we still had an amazing one! I woke up around 9 in order to watch our church's Easter service at 9:30. I didn't expect Mason to wake up before service, but he actually did. He came into the living room around 9:20 to find his Easter basket.

{Our Quarantined Life // Week 4}

It's hard to believe we just wrapped up week 4 of this quarantine! Some days feel really long while others just fly right by. One half of me loves all of the quality time we are spending at home, but the adventurer in my soul misses the trips, Jeep events, etc. It's such a weird thing. Mason and I are in a pretty good groove as far as school goes. Some days we start early and knock it out early and some days we start way later. That's the beauty of E-learning...we do it when it's best for Mason and I. Sometimes I can tell that he needs a little more time before we start, and that's okay. Also, if my workload is heavier in the morning we will get a later start. But, we have been knocking it out just fine. They are working on a points system to turn back in for rewards when (if) they go back to school. Mason has been in the lead for his class since the points started! So proud of him for taking this transition in stride and excelling! Home school life is the life for us.

{Mason got egged}

Saturday morning we woke up bright and early to a text saying "Mason has been egged by his Mimi and Papa" from my sister. Nate and I were exhausted from binge-watching a show on Netflix until 2 am the night before, but I was too excited to let that stop me from getting up. I knew we had a chance of rain and I wanted Mason to find his gift and hidden eggs before the rain came! Also, all the neighbor's dogs love to visit our yard! I got up and got ready and then woke Mason up! He was so excited.

{Easter at the Halls // 2019}

On Tuesday I shared our Easter at the lake, today I am going to share about our Easter with the Halls. We gathered Sunday afternoon to celebrate Easter and it was a lovely time. Nathan's Grandma was able to come and spend a few hours with us and it was just lovely.

{Easter at the Lake}

Two of my mom's sisters have lakehouses right across from each other on Cedar Creek Lake. This year we decided to have a full day of Easter celebrations at the lakehouses on the Saturday before Easter. It was such a fun time. There were nearly 60 of us there, and it was just amazing. It was our first family gathering since Granny passed, so that was different. But, we all enjoyed each other's company.

{Easter // 2018}

Easter has easily become one of my favorite holidays. The meaning of the holiday is so important to our family. While we keep our focus on Jesus during the Easter season, we do celebrate with family as well.

{Easter Scripture}

Over the years Easter has become one of my favorite holidays. I love the spiritual meaning of the holiday and sharing that with my sweet family. Every year I try to make sure that we keep our focus on Jesus and not on egg hunts, candy and the Easter bunny. Although those things are fun, these are not the reason we celebrate Easter. One of the ways we keep a Christ centered Easter is by reading scripture on the life, death and resurreciton of our savior. Today I am sharing some of my favorite Easter scriptures. I made these at cards that you can print out, if you wanted.

{Easter 2017}

Easter 2017 was nothing short of amazing and could easily have been one of our best Easters yet! It was the perfect day filled with celebrating the Resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and family time.

{This Past Weekend // New Glasses, Lake, Easter}

Happy Monday! This past weekend was one of those weekends you never want to end. It was filled with so much amazing; family time, church time, celebrating the Resurrection of Jesus Christ and so much more. I feel so grateful and humbled to be living this life with these amazing people. Thank you, Jesus. Here is a look at this past weekend...

{Happy Easter}

Hope you have a Happy and Blessed Easter!

{Five on Friday // Easter Bunny, PTO Convention, Magic Jelly Beans

Happy finally Friday! I know I said last week was long, but this week takes the cake. Nathan and I both got sick with allergies and I have a cold as well. With that being said, we didn't go to church on Wednesday and that totally threw off the week. It was so weird to be at home on a Wednesday, but we needed the rest. I was asleep before 9 pm that night and it was glorious...until I woke up wide awake at 2:30 and couldn't breathe or sleep. I didn't fall back asleep until sometime after 4 am and then was back up at 6. And on top of everything else I have been dealing with some back issues this week. Not sure if I pulled a muscle or just slept wrong or what, but it's pretty annoying. I am falling apart. haha. Anyhow, I'm happy it's Friday. Here's a little bit of what went on this week...

{12 ways to have a Christ-centered Easter}

How to have a Christ centered Easter
I mentioned in my Easter Scripture post that I want to be intentional about Easter with Mason. It's so easy to get caught up in the Easter bunny, the candy, the festivals, the egg hunts, etc. and we forget about the true meaning of Easter. Which is that Jesus died for our sins and rose on Easter Sunday, giving us the gift of eternal life. The cross meant to kill is our victory!! As Easter nears {and always} I want to Easter to be a sacred celebration and a time to reflect on the hope of His resurrection. Below are some of the ways that I do this. Some of these dates have already passed, but maybe you can incorporate them into your Easter in the years to follow.

{Five on Friday // And an announcement}

Happy Friday! Man, I just love Fridays. Especially Friday's that we have Bible Study and fellowship with some of our favorite people. I just can't think of a better way to start a weekend!! We are also having Easter with my family on Saturday and we're very much looking forward to that. And if the weather cooperates then we'll have Sunday Funday at a lake after church!! But for now, it's time for Five on Friday...
