Why do weekends always fly by so fast? We had a pretty busy weekend, which always makes it seem even shorter. Despite it being busy, it was a fun weekend. Here's a look at what we did...

We were on our way home last night and saw the most incredible and vibrant rainbow in the sky! We then made our way over to our secret little spot near Waxahachie lake to watch the sunset. I love how pretty the sunset can be after a storm!
Our local Jeep meets on the first Thursday of every month. These meets are most often at a local restaurant in the Waxahachie/Midlothian/Ennis area. This month we met at Bluebonnet BBQ. We had an amazing turnout and the food was delicious!!
I've mentioned here before that I am a club vice president for a nationwide all girls Jeep club. It's such an amazing community of women and one that brings me great joy. We frequently have meets at local restaurants, arcades, movies, etc. It's just a night to get together and have community! Our Ellis County chapter recently met at Midlo Scoops - an ice cream place in Midlothian.
This past Wednesday, I met the girls at Fat Tuesday for a Jeep Girl Mafia Ellis County meet! It was a little bit cooler than we hoped, but we still had a wonderful turnout! Despite the weather, we were eager to hang out with fellow Jeepers!
This location is decorated so cute!!
We had a Jeep meet planned at a local burger place but wouldn't you know it, the weather turned horrific! We were supposed to have the patio of the restaurant reserved for the club, but it was cold, windy, and rainy. We still had the meet and didn't expect many to show. Much to our surprise, we had a good turnout! We forgot to get pictures before everyone left!! So, this is only some of the girls that were there!
Wheeling is so good for the soul! The Jeep club where I am a Vice President for put on a 101/102 off-road class. I was fortunate enough to be able to attend the 102 part of the event! Which, was held at Bridgeport OHV! It was a day full of wheeling and hanging out with friends. We had too much fun!
Our dear friends over at Wicked Trendz Jeep Club invited us out for a friends and family day at one of the member's houses. We were so excited to get to see and visit with these precious friends of ours. The drive out (it was in the country) was so beautiful and soothing to the soul! Then as we were driving to the back of the property to park, I literally saw my dream - a farm!!
We spent Saturday morning celebrating the 1 year anniversary for 4 Wheel Parts - Lakeworth with Jeep Girl Mafia! 4WP - Lakeworth has been amazing to our Jeep club and we love to celebrate them any chance that we get.
We joined our local Jeep club, Ellis County Jeeps, in the 4th of July parade in Midlothian. We met at our staging area and started decorating the Jeeps. It was so hot and humid, but we made the best of it. We got to see a lot of our Jeep friends as well as other friends that were in the parade also. It was such a fun time!
Nathan and I didn't plan on going to the Jeep Go Topless event at Crystal Beach this year, but we got an invite that we couldn't pass up! We were invited to stay in the house with the Jeep Girl Mafia president and a few others! The house was right on the beach and wouldn't have to "drive" which is a plus! We were so excited that an opportunity came open for us to go! We had a complete and total blast!
Nothing screams TEXAS like a Jeep meet at Bucees!! Am I right or am I right? It's honestly the best place to host a Jeep meet! Everyone can go and get whatever they want, and then we gather in the parking lot to talk Jeeps and look at Jeeps! Always a fun time. And, the sunset sure did show out for this particular night/meet!
For our last and final Christmas parade of 2021, we joined in with some of our favorites (Wicked Trendz Jeep Club) for the Venus, TX Christmas parade! The Jeeps were definitely the main show and had the most participants in the parade. It's always such a good time with our Jeep family! And, can I just say how much I love small towns? Especially at Christmas...
This year we were invited to be a part of the (televised) Dallas Parade! They chose four Jeep clubs in the metroplex to have various jobs throughout the parade. I felt so honored to be chosen for one of those positions in the parade!
On Tuesday, we got to take part in our hometown Christmas parade with our local Jeep club! The Christmas parade in Waxahachie is one that we look forward to each year! It's always a complete blast and so neat to see everyone lined up on the roads to watch the parade! It's also fun to hear when people we know yell at us and wave. And, lighting up those kids' faces will always be my favorite part!
Besides wheeling, Christmas parades are my absolute favorite thing ever to do our Jeep clubs! This year, Nathan and I were invited to so many parades. We settled on doing four! We are in our hometown parade, a nearby town's parade, the TELEVISED (eeekkkk) Dallas parade, and another smalltown parade. We are so excited! Three of the four are night-time light-up parades. This takes a lot of planning and prepping, but it's so worth it.
On our second (and last) day in Big Bend, we were on the road by 8:30 am. We were trying to fit as much into these two days that we could. We weren't able to get pictures at the Big Bend sign the day before because there were too many people there. So we made sure to stop on our last day there.
The second day of our trip included a full itinerary all in Big Bend National Park! Keri was so great to create us an itinerary to go off of. On our agenda was Santa Elena Canyon, Ross Maxwell Scenic Drive, Mule Ears Viewpoint, Lower Burro Mesa Pour-off, Panther Junction Visitor Center, and the Window View Trail at Sunset! We were so anxious to finally see B I G B E N D!!!
The stars aligned and I finally got to attend another Jeep Girl Mafia meet!!! It was on a Sunday evening at a town just down the road from us. I was so excited that we were able to go!
The first Thursday evening of every month is reserved for the Ellis County Jeep meet! We love getting together with our Jeep family for a night of eating and fellowship. For this particular meet, we went to Beef O Brady's in Midlothian. It was a great turnout!
