{More Chicken Coop Work}

 We spent some of the weekend finishing up the work on the chicken coop. We put up a new (heavy-duty) aviary net to help keep predators out of the coop and run. This net is legit and so much better than the previous one we had up!

{Southern Wags Pup Co // Lexi's Bandana}

 One of my sweet friends and her best friend opened up a dog bandana shop. They make the cutest bandanas for dogs! They were so kind enough to send Lexi one. Look how cute she is!

{Lexi Girl}

 When the weather is nice I like to take my Bible study out to the porch. I always bring Lexi out with me. Well, this was one of those days when this happened...

{Merry WOOFmas // Lexi's Christmas photoshoot // 2021}

 I try to take pictures of my pets for every season/major holiday! Lexi is usually the most cooperative one. She's very driven by treats, so a couple is all it takes for her to sit pretty!

{OUR QUARANTINED LIFE // WEEK 8}

Here we are at week 8 of this whole quarantine thing! More businesses around Texas are starting to open this week such as hair and nail salons. And then there will be another wave around the 15th, I believe. Nothing is really going to change for us! I'm just hoping and praying that we can go on our annual Memorial Day weekend trip to Mason, TX. This is one of my favorite weekends out of the year and we will all be so bummed if it gets canceled. Anyhow, here's a look at our week.

{Our Quarantined Life // Week 6}

This week marks 6 weeks of quarantine. SIX! Not sure why, but that just sounds like forever. Maybe because it's rare that we go 6 weeks without traveling somewhere. Right now I am okay with it, but I am looking forward to a long summer vacation and hoping that happens! At the end of last week, we started hearing that things are going to start opening back up in the next couple of weeks in Texas (minus schools - we are done for the year - e-learning only). Will we venture out when that happens? I'm not so sure! We will probably give it some more time...especially with Mason. The only time he has left the house is to run a quick errand and he never leaves the Jeep. Trying to keep my precious boy as safe as I can. The less exposed, the better. It's so bizarre to say that. I never thought we'd live in a time such as this.

Anyhow, here is a look at our 6th week of quarantine.

{Our Quarantined Life // Week 4}

It's hard to believe we just wrapped up week 4 of this quarantine! Some days feel really long while others just fly right by. One half of me loves all of the quality time we are spending at home, but the adventurer in my soul misses the trips, Jeep events, etc. It's such a weird thing. Mason and I are in a pretty good groove as far as school goes. Some days we start early and knock it out early and some days we start way later. That's the beauty of E-learning...we do it when it's best for Mason and I. Sometimes I can tell that he needs a little more time before we start, and that's okay. Also, if my workload is heavier in the morning we will get a later start. But, we have been knocking it out just fine. They are working on a points system to turn back in for rewards when (if) they go back to school. Mason has been in the lead for his class since the points started! So proud of him for taking this transition in stride and excelling! Home school life is the life for us.

{Our quarantined life // Week 3}

This documents week three of our quarantined life!

{Happy Howl-idays // 2019}

You know I couldn't let this season pass without taking Christmas photos of my pups! Lexi is always pretty cooperative as she lives to please, but Diesel is so stubborn in his old age. ha! He will not look at the camera unless there is a treat directly in front of it. Hey, whatever works! Here are our 2019 Christmas pictures of Lexi and Diesel!

{Happy HOWL-oween // 2019}

Taking pictures of my pups gives me such joy! They are just too cute and mostly go along with my crazy antics. I say mostly because Diesel hates the camera and will totally look the opposite direction with his nose in the air! I have to bribe that one with treats. Anyhow, here are our 2019 HOWL-oween pictures of the pups!!

{Easter at the Halls // 2019}

On Tuesday I shared our Easter at the lake, today I am going to share about our Easter with the Halls. We gathered Sunday afternoon to celebrate Easter and it was a lovely time. Nathan's Grandma was able to come and spend a few hours with us and it was just lovely.

{January, February, March and April update}

It has been quite a while since I have touched this space! While I have thought about blogging many times throughout the last few months, there just wasn't enough time in the day. But I do know that when I go to look back at my blog one day I will be sad about the gaps that I missed. So, I am going to make an attempt to make time for my little corner of the web. I have a lot of catching up to do so I am going to catch up on the highlights from each month.

{Happy HOWL-idays from our Christmas pups // 2018}

My pups must think I am the nuttiest fur mama ever! But, they mostly oblige to all of my photo taking antics. Well, Lexi does because she's a sweet and obedient little thing and Diesel? Well, he will do anything for a treat. ha. We recently took Christmas photos of the pups and I couldn't love them more.

{Happy HOWL-oween}

Happy HOWL-oween from my furbabies; Lexi and Diesel! Have a wonderful day and be safe trick or treating!!

{Five on Friday // T-Rex, TCU, Lexi in a Calendar, Skies}

Happy Friday! Even though we are supposed to get a ton of rain this weekend I am really looking forward to the weekend!! I plan to get a lot of crafting and cleaning and organizing done! I ordered enough groceries to just stay in this weekend and make breakfast, lunch, and dinner at home. This is so rare for us! Normally we have a million plans going on! I'm a bit excited.

Anyhow. here's a look at what's going on in our little world right now.

ONE | TRex in the morning drop-off line!!

Monday morning was a pretty rough one! I mean, who likes mornings? Especially Monday mornings. Then we get to school and a sweet lady that we adore changes our whole attitudes around! She was getting kids out of the cars while wearing a T-Rex costume!! And, she just happened to get Mason out of the Jeep. A little backstory on her...she works in the science lab and turned it into a "Jurassic World" themed room. It's super cool and all of the kids love it. I also heard that she wore the costume to all three lunch periods!!

{Happy FIRST birthday, Lexi}

Today is a very special day in the Hall household! It's our sweet girl, Lexi's FIRST birthday. Even though we've only had her for a little over 10.5 short months it feels like she has been a part of our family forever. She just fits in so well with us and truly is the sweetest girl. We are so thankful for this precious pup!!

{Lexi // An Update // 6 months}

It's been a while since I've talked about our sweet girl on the blog! Our Lexi girl turned 6 months on 10/9/2017 and is growing so fast. And as she grows we grow more and more in love with her. She has been the best addition to our family and we can't get enough of her.

{Five on Friday // VBS, Lexi, 4th of July, Vacation, Amevie Sunglasses}

It has been a long while since I've wrote a Five on Friday post! It was back at the beginning of May to be exact. May and June have been our busiest months so far this year and I don't see it slowing down any time soon. Here is a little bit of what we have been up to this week...

{Introducing...}

I am so excited and happy to introduce...

After only a little over week with us she has completely stolen all of our hearts!! We are smitten with her and couldn't love her more. Lexi was a {big SURPRISE} birthday present for Mason. We had known about her since she was a week old, but didn't tell Mason until the day we went to pick her up. Mason loves her something fierce and is so precious and sweet with her.

{Catch-up Post // Mason's birthday week, new puppy, ladies night, road tripping}

Testing....testing...is this thing even still on? I have neglected this space something fierce lately. I hate to glorify busy, but I really am trying to stay afloat at best. I always seem to forget how crazy the month of May gets for us. And despite my best efforts, I just can't seem to juggle it all. And because of that this blog is the first to go. But hey, looking on the bright side I have so much to catch up on around here. Here's a small snippet of what has kept us so busy lately...
