{Mother's Day 2022}

 For Mother's Day this year, we started out the day at church and ended the evening with dinner with Nate's family. It was a sweet day of celebrating the mom's in our lives.

 Mother's Day 2021 was pretty amazing!! We started it off with church and ended the evening with Nate's family. I visited with my Mama the day prior and it was a treat! Church was amazing, as always. Nate made me the cutest little card. I will never tire of homemade gifts!!

{OUR QUARANTINED LIFE // WEEK 8}

Here we are at week 8 of this whole quarantine thing! More businesses around Texas are starting to open this week such as hair and nail salons. And then there will be another wave around the 15th, I believe. Nothing is really going to change for us! I'm just hoping and praying that we can go on our annual Memorial Day weekend trip to Mason, TX. This is one of my favorite weekends out of the year and we will all be so bummed if it gets canceled. Anyhow, here's a look at our week.

{Mother's Day weekend}

Happy Monday! I hope all of you mamas had a really great Mother's Day weekend! We had a fabulous weekend filled with so much family time. Friday and Saturday were pretty much a rainy mess, but Sunday was gorgeous. Here's a look at our weekend.

{This Past Weekend // Ranger game, time with friends & Mother's Day}

Happy Thursday! I can't believe I am just now sharing about this past weekend. The Monday after a busy Sunday is just too hard {plus I took entirely too many pictures and the thought of going through them was overwhelming}. I was in a weekend hangover/funk all day long on Monday and did very little blogging {or anything else for that matter}. And then Tuesday came and I just slapped some pictures I wanted to share into a post, Wednesday I had something planned and now here we are, already at Thursday. We had such an incredible weekend and there is no way that I could go on without blogging about it. Here is a look at...

{Weekending // Heroe Party, Sweet friends, New riding toy, Mother's Day}

Happy Monday! I don't know about y'all, but Monday morning came entirely too fast. I woke up this morning and my first thought was how? How is the weekend already over? It was a busy weekend for sure, but a really really good one. And you guys...this post almost didn't happen. My computer was running slow, I couldn't get anything to upload to photobucket and it was just chaos. That's a Monday for you.

Friday we spent the evening cleaning and prepping for Mason's birthday party on Saturday. And in true Crystal fashion I started projects at 9pm the night before. I stumbled upon them on Pinterest and had to do it! It was worth it, though.

Saturday we woke up and continued the party prepping. Before we left I asked Mason if I could get some photos of him. And of course, this is what I got....

I love this silly boy something fierce. My sweet friend Amanda came into town to visit her family and was able to come to Mason's party. She arrived and we loaded up and headed into town. Mason's party {which I will be posting about separately} went really well. It was one of the less stressful parties I think I ever planned.

After the party we went back home and had some yummy burgers and the kids played on Mason's new Green Machine {gift from my parents}, had nerf gun wars and jumped on the trampoline. It was a good evening!

Sunday I got up and did my usual early morning routine of grocery shopping & grabbing donuts. Then we were off to church. I love when holidays fall on church days!! There is something so special about sitting on a pew with your loved ones. What a gift! And to be able to be in the house of the Lord with some of my favorite mamas on Mother's Day was such a blessing as well. Also, one of our sweet friends was in town {she's a flight attendant and stationed elsewhere} and joined the worship team in leading praise and worship. What a treat that we weren't expecting at all. Nathan and I agreed that we could listen to her sing for hours. Amazing voice! And, she sang one of my favorite songs {that I have had on repeat lately} - Ever Be by Bethel. After service they handed out carnations and a devotional to all of the mamas. And Mason made me a sweet card in children's church.

After church we went to my aunts house to celebrate all the mamas on that side of the family. We did a sandwich type potluck and it was delicious. We visited a while and then headed to Nate's parents to visit with his mom. We are so blessed with so many amazing women in our lives! It was a great day of celebrating them.

How was your weekend? I hope you all had an amazing one and a Happy Mother's Day!

{Mother's Day // Gift Exchange}

Happy Friday!!!I feel like a broken record when I say how amazing this blogging community is, but y'all it's real. And it's so dang awesome. I have met the sweetest friends and just adore these sweet mamas that I get to do life with! When Liz and Courtney said they were putting together a Mother's Day exchange I couldn't wait to sign up and spoil a fellow mama.

I was so surprised when Liz emailed me saying that I would be buying for my dear friend Amy at Keepin' Up with the Smiths. Amy and I met in this blogging world several years ago and just really clicked. We have so much in common and she is a fellow superhero loving boy mama like myself. She is the sweetest lady with the cutest little boys! I adore her and feel so grateful to call her a friend. Head on over to see what I sent her {she's recently gone private}.

My partner was sweet Desiree at Macke Monologues {also private}. Desiree is another one I call friend. And y'all...she brought me to tears with her thoughtfulness and kindness {once again!}. She spoiled me so much and sent the greatest things. When I got the package I felt like I was pulling things out forever. They just kept coming. And everything was so perfect and well thought out. Oh and she put it all in the cutest little bag! It just screams spring-time to me! Take a look...

Adorable bag // Adult coloring book // See's Candies // A DIY travel mug // cute cards // eos lip balm //washi tape // Starbucks giftcard

She went above and beyond to make me feel special on this Mother's Day! It was my first time having the Sees candies and oh my word were they good! Adult coloring books are my favorite, but inspirational ones? Totally my jam!! The DIY coffee mug is so neat! Mason saw it and asked if he could decorate it for me for Mother's Day. Of course I obliged. I thought it was the sweetest. I will have to take a picture of what he did and post it on here soon.

Desiree - Thank you so so so much! You spoiled me, for sure. I am thankful for everything you sent, but most thankful for you and your friendship sweet lady!

{It's the Little Things - week 15 // Mother's Day crafts}

Happy Wednesday friends!

Linking up with Jess and Ashley for It's the Little Things - week Fifteen!

......

Mason missed a couple of days at school last week due to a sinus infection. More importantly, he missed the days they were making Mother's Day crafts at school. My heart was a little sad for both he and I. I know that he loves doing that kind of stuff and he loves "giving" and I was sad that I wouldn't have any cute little crafts to cry over! Truth!
