{10 on Tuesday // Six Flags}

In my Oh Hey Friday post I mentioned we were going to Six Flags on Friday...well, we went and we had a complete blast. Since the park is only open for one specific ISD and their families there is no lines. You literally walk up to a ride and you're the next group to get on. The longest that we waited for anything was 15 minutes and that was on the Justice League ride and only because they had technical difficulties. This is our favorite {and honestly the only} way to do Six Flags.

Mason is just like me as a child. The boy has NO fear and wants to ride everything. Now I know how my mom must have felt, And since Nate doesn't ride rides it's up to me, Nana and Michelle to ride everything with Mason. There was only one ride {pandemonium} that frightened him a bit. And really, I think it's only because I screamed on the first drop. Oops. I told him I screamed because it was fun and then he was okay with it. Brave boy!

We had so much fun and rode every single ride that we wanted to. We played a game and Mason won a Robin superhero cape and a Superman cap. He has quite the collection of superhero capes from Six Flags. It's his favorite 'souvenir' to get.

And now, joining in with Karli for 10 on Tuesday by sharing 10 photos from our night at Six Flags. Actually, I kind of cheated because one of the pictures is a collage of four pictures. ha. And I didn't take my big camera (wahhh) because of all the rain we've had lately. I didn't want to chance it. Last year it poured on us.

{O N E} // Walking in, the cave ride, the tea cups, and the view from the top of the bobsled ride.

{T W O} // Took this picture from Michelle's snapchat. This is on the bobsled ride. Mason was finally tall enough to ride. He loved it! He might have been a little scared on the way up, though. He told us "If you have anything you need to tell me before we die you better tell me now!" Not sure where that came from. ha.

{T H R E E} // Cottoncandy almost as huge as him. We all shared and still came home with half a bag.

{F O U R} // The obligatory giant chair picture. My parents have pictures of me on this chair from when I was just a small child.

{F I V E} // I missed the best part of the sunset behind Six Flags, but was able to get a bit of it.

{S I X} // Mase wasn't tall enough for the Batman ride, but he was okay with just taking a picture with the Batmobile.

{S E V E N}//  Even though my big boy was tall enough for most of the big rides he still wanted to visit the kid area. He's in the pink balloon in this picture.

{E I G H T} // Waiting to ride Justice League. This was probably one of our favorite rides of the night. It was so much like some of the rides at Disney World. Now we are all even more ready to get back to Disney.

{N I N E} // This is only a picture of the gift shop, but Mason asked me to take a picture of it. Many of his favorite superheroes in this picture!

{T E N} // And my favorite picture of the night...my sweet little boy all tuckered out. If you know Mason then you know that he doesn't just fall asleep anywhere, especially not in the car. This is how you know he is tired and wore out.

{10 on Tuesday // Favorite iPhone Apps}

Happy Tuesday! Linking up with Karli again for 10 on Tuesday. Today I am sharing with you 10 of my favorite iPhone apps. These are my go-to's besides all of the social media apps such as FacebookInstagramTwitterSnapchat, and Pinterest .

This shouldn't be a surprise, but half of these are photo apps...

10 favorite iphone apps - Hall Around Texas

10 favorite iphone apps - Hall Around Texas

1 // Manual - $2.99 // If I am using my iPhone for taking pictures I only use this app. The quality of the pictures are so much better than the standard iPhone camera pictures. Plus, you have some control over the ISO, focus, exposure, shutter speed, white balance and flash.

2 // Afterlight - $.99 // This is usually the first app I open when editing my photos. I use Afterlight for the brightness and clarifying tools.

3 // VSCO - free, with in-app purchases // I can't tell you how many times I have downloaded and then deleted this app. At first I hated this app. But every time I read a review on apps this one was always at the top of everyone's list. I couldn't figure out why. Until now. I love it and use it daily. For two reasons - 1.) I like to add my photos into VSCO in the order that they appear on my Instagram. Then when I want to post a new photo I can load it to VSCO and see how it looks with the rest of my feed and then decide if it's a good fit or not. And 2.) the C3 and Q1 filters. Those are the only two I ever use.

4 // Facetune - $3.99 // I use this one mostly for the whitening tool. I like my photos bright and the whitening helps achieve that. I also like the details tool for sharping certain parts of your photo.

5 // She Reads Truth - free, with in-app purchases // my go-to Bible and Devotional app.

6 // Cartwheel // For discounts at the best place on earth, Target.

7 // ESPN - free // I'm a sports girl and like to keep up with my teams!

8 // Bible for Kids - free // Mason and I both love this app. It's interactive and makes learning about the Bible fun for kids.

9 // Glow - free // great for keeping up with 'girl' stuff and helpful for those that are TTC.

10 // Color Story - free, with in-app purchases // this one I am still working with. I like the concept of it, but haven't exactly figured out how to make it work with my photos. I love all of the photos I see edited with this app, though! Do you use it? Any suggestions?

What are your favorite iPhone apps? Any that I must download now?

{Kickin' off the season // Soccer // 10 on Tuesday}

Mason had his very first soccer game the Saturday before Easter! It was so exciting and fun to watch. Mason started off in the field for the first part of the game. He did great at staying with the ball, but the other team definitely out ran us when it came to speed. Only 1 of our kids was able to keep up with their speed. We did however score the first goal! And it was so, so exciting!

They put Mason in at goalie and that little boy surprised the heck out of us. He stopped every single ball that came his way! We were impressed. We even heard comments in the stands like "dude, that kid is a great goalie"! Made my little mama heart so proud. After that quarter Mason came out of the goalie position and the other team scored on the kid that replaced him! The coach was quick to put Mason back in at goalie. And I could tell the parents were happy with her choice! Mason continued to block every single ball they kicked his way. And, it was a lot of balls. The ball stayed in near our goal for a lot of the game due to the speed of the other team. Nathan and I agreed that Mason probably blocked 15-20 balls that were shot at him. It was nerve-racking, but exciting to say the least.

Oh it was awesome!! Mason had a blast and that made us so happy. We won the game 2-1. Apparently Nate had told Mason before the game that he would get $5 for every goal that he scored. Well, he played goalie the majority of the game and didn't really have a chance to score. After the game he says dad, "I didn't make any goals but I stopped like a million balls. I think that deserves $17,000 bucks!!" ha! I love this kid!

Mason had his 2nd game last Saturday, but it wasn't the best. The other team dominated us. We couldn't keep up, couldn't score and our kids were just beat. Mason played goalie the 2nd half and he left 2 or 3 balls by. He just wasn't feeling it. We later learned that he had strep throat and was feeling awful.

I also wanted to join in with Karli for 10 on Tuesday...so I thought a 10 things I love about soccer would be perfect for this soccer themed post.

1 // it's so fun to watch him play something that he loves.
2 // it gives him a chance to run off some extra energy.
3 // is there anything cuter than a little one in a uniform?
4 // he is making new friends
5 // that the games are only 30 minutes long. Perfect game length for a 5 year old's attention span.
6 // his coach is the sweetest. While she wants to win she is also very sweet with them.
7 // gives us something to do on Saturday mornings!
8 // how fearless he is when he plays goalie.
9 // he is learning to be a 'team'.
10 // that he high fives his friends and gets excited when they play good.

Is your kid(s) playing any sports right now? I didn't know how much I would enjoy soccer!!
