{12 handy apps for Camping}

Hall Around Texas - 12 handy apps to have for camping

Ultimately when we are camping we like to disconnect from social media and forget about our cell phones for a while. But, there are times when we do use them and when they come handy. Not only do we use them for taking pictures on the go, but also for so many great camping/outdoor apps we have found. Below I am sharing 12 handy apps to have while camping.

{2017 Summer Bucket List}

Ohhhh sweet summertime! How I love you so. As an adult summers really didn't excite me like they did when I was a kid. And then I had a kid and that all changed. Even though I work most of the summer I work from home {biggest blessing} and we do take a lot of weekend trips and one big trip. And now that Mason is in school I love summers even more. I really hate sharing him with school. Ugh. I am always counting down until the summer when I get to have him home with me almost every day. Mason and I are attached at the hip and love hanging out. I mean, just today he asked me if he, his wife and two kids can live with us when he's older. Of course my sweet boy, of course you can! Anyhow, here is list of things we hope to do before summer kicks the bucket.

{This Past Weekend // Winery, Sleepovers, Carwash and Birthdays}

Oh my word! Does anyone else feel like their head is about to spin off? May is such a crazy month for us! All of the end of the year school activities, Mason's birthday week, gearing up for a weekend getaway, church events, PTO, etc. have kept me one busy woman. Mondays just don't happen around here. And if I'm being honest, it's 9:06 am on Tuesday and I am just now writing this post. Here's a look at this past weekend...

{Easter 2017}

Easter 2017 was nothing short of amazing and could easily have been one of our best Easters yet! It was the perfect day filled with celebrating the Resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and family time.

{12 ways to have a Christ-centered Easter}

How to have a Christ centered Easter
I mentioned in my Easter Scripture post that I want to be intentional about Easter with Mason. It's so easy to get caught up in the Easter bunny, the candy, the festivals, the egg hunts, etc. and we forget about the true meaning of Easter. Which is that Jesus died for our sins and rose on Easter Sunday, giving us the gift of eternal life. The cross meant to kill is our victory!! As Easter nears {and always} I want to Easter to be a sacred celebration and a time to reflect on the hope of His resurrection. Below are some of the ways that I do this. Some of these dates have already passed, but maybe you can incorporate them into your Easter in the years to follow.

Scripture for the Busy Mama

Truth is, I stay tired. I’ve always been borderline-anemic and now have Hypothyroidism which basically gives me no chance at being the energizer bunny that us moms sometimes need to be. No matter what medication or how many vitamins I take I am still tired.

{My Current Worship Playlist}

It's no secret that I love worship music! I work at home M-F and so more often than not I will crank up worship music on our Bluetooth speaker throughout the day. Worship music moves me down deep in my soul and helps me to not feel so alone. I love it so much! I thought I would share my current playlist with you all! Enjoy!

{Tuesday Talk // Being bold in 2017}

Last year I decided to join Ali Edwards {and the rest of Blogland!} for One Little Word. I chose the word Hope for 2016. Hope was something the Lord kept laying on my heart every time I began to pray about our situation. "Have hope my child and trust in my timing" was something I heard him say to me time and time again. And so hope became my word I wanted to focus on for the year as we struggled through the woes of infertility {again}. I also shared some scripture that gave me hope throughout the year. It was such a great word to focus on because I can't tell you the number of times I wanted to get angry about our situation instead of having hope and trusting in the Lord's timing. Because of that hope I was able to experience joy instead of constant heartache. Don't get me wrong, some days were harder than others, but the Lord carried us through those. And he gave me such grace.

{Three Things // December Edition}

Several of my blogging friends have started writing a 'three things' post and I loved the idea, so I borrowed it. It's such a fun and simple way to share current happenings in our lives at this particular time. Here are three things about my little family.

{It's the most magical time of the year // Portable North Pole}

This post is sponsored by PNP. All opinions are 100% my own.

One of our favorite Christmas time traditions is to create a personalized video from Santa to Mason using the Portable North Pole console. I enjoy creating the videos, but I enjoy watching Mason watch the video even more. It's so special to watch the magic unfold as he watches his video year after year. Seeing Christmas through a child's eyes is the most amazing thing ever!

{Christmas Book Wishlist // Christmas Cash Giveaway}

Sunday afternoon Mason and I rearranged his book shelf in order to get ready for the upcoming holidays. We moved the Halloween books back to the shelf and brought down all of our Christmas books. We filled up two baskets worth of Christmas books!! They are our absolute favorite! I shared many of these last year. You can find that post here. But even with two baskets full we still have a Christmas book wish list. I mean, you could never have too many Christmas themed books right? Today I am sharing with you some books we hope to add to our basket this year.

{Holiday Ornament Exchange}

I know! I know! Halloween is barely over and I am starting with the Christmas. I can't help it! I saw a meme on Facebook yesterday {Thanks for sharing, Beth} that said 'Can I put up my tree now?' and I totally would if the mister would let me! I love Christmas {and decorating for Christmas} so much and wish the season lasted a little longer. So when Stephanie asked if I wanted to co-host an Ornament Exchange I couldn't say yes fast enough! And today I am excited to share the Ornament Exchange details with you!

Hall Around Texas DIY Pumpkin Burlap Wreath

I shared that I wanted to make some fall wreaths and donate them to our church's 26th annual fish fry & bake/craft sale on our Fall 2016 Bucketlist. When I saw this pin on Pinterest for a Pumpkin Burlap Wreath I knew I had to make one! I mean, how cute. And my love for burlap really runs deep.

{TT // All Things Pumpkin // Pumpkin Patchin' #1}

Saturday {10/8} Nathan had plans to go fishing with his brother. Mason and I didn't have anywhere to be until 2 that day so I decided to take him to Country Critter's Farm/Pumpkin Patch. We used to take Mason to Country Critter's Farm every year until we discovered Mainstay Farm in 2013. In December 2013 we went to Mainstay Farm for their Christmas tree days, but learned of their pumpkin days and knew we'd have to go there in 2014. And that we did. Mainstay Farm has become our preferred place for pumpkin patchin', but we thought it would be fun to go back to our old stomping grounds for a day.

DIY PERSONALIZED PUMPKIN - HALL AROUND TEXAS

When my friend Meghan posted her fall home tour last week I spotted a pumpkin that I wanted to recreate! I ran out right after I saw her post and got the materials to do so. I knew I needed this on my porch asap! I absolutely love all things pumpkin...especially those you can use year after year!

{Tuesday Talk // All Things Pumpkin // Free Pumpkin Fonts}
