{Christmas Day}

I woke up around 8:20 am on Christmas morning, went to the restroom, woke up Nate and then we attempted to wake up Mason. He didn't want to get out of bed. He completely forgot all about Santa coming and just wanted to go back to sleep! I had to remind him about 3-4 times that Santa came and that it was finally Christmas. At 8:45 he finally got out of bed. Nate kept him in the room while I got the camera/video ready. He ran to the living room {we had Santa set up in the dining room where the Christmas tree was} and looked around like, "um, Santa didn't come." We called him over and he got so excited! He squealed! It was amazing!!!

Mason opened all of his gifts and played his sweet little heart out. We tried explaining to him that Nana and Papa were waiting on us to have Christmas at their house. He didn't want to leave for anything. Could you blame him? All those new toys to play with. It took some major convincing to get him to leave without a fight.

We got to Nana and Papa's house and everyone was awake. Mason helped pass out presents, but not without trying to open each one. We had to stop him each time and tell him it was for someone else. Once all presents were passed out we let Mason open most of his. He was too excited to wait. It was nice, though. We got to see everything he opened and his excitement with each gift. And excited he was.

After Mason opened most of his gifts we all took turns opening. But, it was very spaced out and totally relaxed. Which, I loved. It was great to just hang out in pajamas and enjoy every minute of Christmas. It was nasty and rainy outside, so, perfect pajama weather. It even started snowing/icing. It was mostly just wet, so not much stuck. It was really neat to see snow on Christmas {in Texas} though!!

My 3rd or so gift was a new 50mm lens. So I slapped that baby on and got to snappin. It was hard to get used to at first.

A yearly tradition...

After all the gifts were opened they called Mason to the center of the living room and told him that they found another present that Santa left {it was hiding under a blanket}.

...

A new Piana {or Ptano, as Mase calls it}. The night after his Christmas program they went home and found him one online! He was so excited!!! It's really nice and something that he can pass on to his kids some day!

The rest of the day we really were just so lazy and hung out and ate!

{Sunday morning Scenes}

I just love our Sundays...

It's 2:35pm and I may or may not be in Pajamas.

{Winter Bucketlist}

- We didn't make it to ICE this year. Maybe next.
- After further review I realized that Mason wasn't old enough for a Christmas list this year.
- We took lots of pictures, just not any official pics. I think I might just have to hire someone.
- We baked cookies, just not for Santa.

{Christmas with the Stowells}

On Sunday, December 23rd we celebrated Christmas with my family at my parents house. The boys played and played while Mom finished up dinner. We ate lunch/dinner some time around 3. It was amazing! Mom never disappoints with food!! After we ate we let the kids open their gifts. They were so anxious!!!!

The boys racked up! Seriously!! Mom & Dad give all of us older kids money because they say we are too hard to shop for! Works for us. We also get a stocking, which I love. Stockings have always been my favorite.

After all the gifts were opened my parents brought out new helmets for all the kids. Dad said he wanted a picture of them wearing them...so they did. Not one of the three asked why they got helmets, they just went along with it.

Then we let them outside to see their new bikes!!!!

Mason and Jax ran to the wrong ones...they were the same size! They were so excited and adorable. I just love those boys!!

{Trying to find my way back to blogging...}

Yikes...I'm getting so behind on blogging! Its not that I don't have anything to blog about or have a ton of fabulous pictures to share. I just keep finding other stuff to do...like reading other blogs...changing my blog design...and Instagramming like a mad-woman!

::Sigh::

Hopefully I will get some posts cranked out next week.

And because I have issues of posting without pictures...

{Christmas Eve}

It is Christmas Eve night and we are heading home to get ready for Santa. There's a tower somewhere in the distance with a red light on. Mason thinks it's Rudolph and that he's getting close to our house! He's getting so excited!! I can't even contain his cuteness right now!

It's now 10:38pm and I am laying in bed with Mason. He keeps doing everything under the moon to keep himself awake. I can't even get upset with him because I remember these days and being too excited & anxious for Santa that I couldn't sleep. It's beyond amazing to see it through your his eyes. I'm so excited for him that I can't sleep. Or don't want to sleep. I just want to stay awake and watch him. I want to remember every single thing about tonight. This is the first Christmas that he's actually "getting" it. He is soaking up all things Christmas. I've been trying to teach him that Christmas isn't only about Santa, presents, and Reindeer and that it's also Jesus' Birthday. He get's it somewhat.

He's now singing Ol' McDonald over and over and twisting from back-to-front/front-to-back like crazy. He can't lie still for anything! Nathan is in the garage assembling his "Santa" and it's kind of loud. Every time Mason hears a noise he asks me if it's Santa and the Reindeer on the roof!

11:25 - He's finally drifted off to sleep and I am right behind him! I just can't wait for morning.
