{Being a Daddy...Part Three}

{Being a Mommy...Part Nine)

Means developing an OCD for cleaning bottles the very second after your baby finishes eating!

{Mason talking to Daddy}

{Wordless Wednesday}

{Being a Daddy...Part Two}

Means talking in high pitch voices and making goofy faces to see that big smile come over your son’s face.

{Being a Mommy...Part Eight}

Means teaching your baby inappropriate things like sticking out your tongue, because it's funny when they do it back!

{Oh my milky goodness}

Mason, I just love you Son!! You are amazing! These were taken last night, hanging out with Nana, Daddy, Mommy and Diesel outside.

You look like you're ready to box in that last picture!!

{Mason, you're TOO cool buddy}

I am so thankful my sister takes pictures of our little guy while we're at work! It's nice to see what he's up to during the day. Not to mention he grows by the minute and gets cuter by the second! The pictures also helps mommy get through the work day!

So, Mason - this is what you were up to today! Too cool!

I love you, monkey!

Your cousin, Tanner

{Babies everywhere}

Mason, today your mommy's cousin had a baby boy! Introducing Ruben V:

8-18-10
7lbs 13oz

You will have a few cousins your age to play with!!

{Just a Swingin'}

Since Mason was born he hasn't been a big fan of being anywhere but in someone's arms! He would fuss the minute you put him down. Here in the last couple weeks he's really gotten good about sitting in his bouncer. We put it on the couch in between Nate and I and as long as we pay him some attention he is fine. Well, this week I started putting him in his swing more. AND I think he loves it! This is what I just found...

{12 Weeks}

My sweet boy, you turned 12 weeks yesterday. It's hard to believe you are already 3 months old. Time sure is flying. Well, it's kind of weird - feels like years ago that we were at the hospital having you, but then again it's crazy that it has already been 3 months. Really hard to explain. But, this has been the best 12 weeks of mommy & daddy's lives! We are so in love with you and can't get enough of you! You are such an amazing baby and you make us so happy.

At 12 weeks:
Size 3-6 month clothes, some 9 mths, and even some 12mths shirts fit you
Size 2 diapers
Still eating about 4-5 ounces at a time (still on soy for now)
You still sleep with mommy and daddy
Bedtime is around 9pm (some nights a little earlier, some a little later) and you sleep most of the night. You wake at 12:30 and 3:30 to be nursed, but you usually just fall back asleep without nursing completely.

Things you love:
to be talked to
to be listened to
talking baseball with daddy
outside
baths
riding/going places
mommy to "eat" your feet
playing the "stick your tongue out" game
mommy & daddy's iPhone
riding the bicycle (moving your legs in that motion)

Things you don't love:
tummy time
sleeping alone
pacifier
not being talked to
not being at home at your bedtime

Things Mommy loves about you:
cuddling
your smile
your laugh
your talking (coo'ing)
your big blue eyes
your totally kissable cheeks
your smirk
when you hold mommy's finger
your chubby little legs
how everything I say to you is funny
giving you baths
the way you look at your daddy
absolutely everything about you!

{Being a Mommy...Part Seven}

Means sleeping sitting up on the couch from 12:00-2:30 am because your son has a tummy ache and finds relief sleeping on your chest.

{Being a Daddy...Part One}

Means...I just want him to be happy and not have to worry about our screwed up world. I want him to be able to enjoy being a little kid and enjoy being in the country and outdoors. I hope that one day he realizes how lucky he is to not grow up in the city. I want to make slingshots with him and teach him to shoot his red rider. I also want to work on things with him and teach him things like patience and hard work. I just want to be a good dad.

{A letter from Daddy}

To Mason, from Daddy:

Baby boy,

I just wanted to write you a little letter letting you know what you mean to your Daddy. When I look at you I am filled with pride and amazement. You are so handsome and full of life. I enjoy every minute of the time that we spend together. We talk a lot, even though we don’t understand each other it’s still fun to listen to your words. Daddy also likes to watch the Ranger games with you. You always sit there so big and just watch like you already know what’s happening. Don’t tell Momma or Nana (they don’t want you to get big) but I cant wait for you to get a little older so we can play together. You are going to be one lucky little boy. I already have some plans for a tree house or a fort and a big playground for you to play on. Daddy wants to teach you how to do all kinds of fun things. We will probably get in a lot of trouble from mom but its ok we can just stick that bottom lip out like you do and it will be all better. I love you so much and am so proud of you. Just know that your mom and I will always be here for you and support you in anything you want to do. Daddy loves you Monster.

{Listen, I can talk}

Mason has really found his voice lately! Here are some videos of him talking.

(11 weeks, 6 days)

Daddy & Mason talking baseball!!

{Go Daddy!}

On Wednesday Mommy & Mason went to watch a little bit of Daddy's softball game. He played two games, but it was entirely too humid and hot. So we went only to the last half of the first game. We surprised daddy!

{Being a Mommy...Part Five}

Means talking in an ultra high-pitched and highly annoying voice because your son loves it! And you love to see his smile!

{Finally Friday}

Happy Finally Friday!! And Happy Birthday, Aunt Leslie E.T. :)

We hope you have a really great day and can't wait to celebrate with you later this evening!!

E.T. is what my papa always called my sister. He had nicknames for many of his Grandkids -

Leslie = E.T.
Justin = Hoss
Chelsea = Cheeseburger
Jeremy = Buttermilk
Ruben = Flapjack
Jessica = Jethro
Meagan =  Whoopy
Haley = Harley

And that's all that I can remember right now. His nickname for me isn't appropriate, so I will not post it on here. Not that it's that bad, just don't want to offend anyone!

Well, I always sit and wonder what my papa would have nicknamed Mason. I can't even begin to guess because he had his own method and was very creative! I really wish Mason would have gotten to meet his Great Grandfather. He would have loved him, I just know it.

{Cousins}

Mason, you get to spend time with your cousin Tanner everyday now. He loves you so much!!

I think Diesel was ready for yall to move so that he could sleep on the couch!

{Mommy's World}

Mason, you are mommy's whole world!! I love you so much, son!
