{Dear Mason}

I love you!

I love that you let me put any kind of hat on you and you don't try to pull it off.

I love that I can put sunglasses on you and you grin because you know you're cute!

I love that you let me cuddle, nuzzle your sweet neck and kiss your tiny toes.

I love that you let us stick you anywhere we wanted in the pumpkin patch and you just went right along with it!

I love that you have started reaching for things and that you know what you want! (Yesterday when I got home from work you were in Aunt Leslie's arms and you reached over for me to pick you up, melted my heart)

And...

I just love how ridiculously AWESOME you are!!

{Being a Daddy...Part Seven}

Being a dad means walking in the house after work ready to see that little face looking up at you with a big ole smile on his face because you are home.

{Being a Mommy...Part Fourteen}

Means hitting snooze on your alarm even though you are wide awake just so that you can cuddle with your baby an extra ten minutes!

{Wordless Wednesday}..oops thought this posted yesterday! O'well!

{More OU Pictures}

Too bad I didn't get any of all 3 of us together, darn it!

{19 Weeks}

Our sweet baby boy is now 19 weeks!!!

That's 133 days, 3192 hours, 191,520 minutes that you have been with us Mason!! Best 191,520 minutes of my life!!

Life is soooo great with you Mr. Mason! Mommy and Daddy love you so much and are really blessed to be your parents!! You are such an amazing little guy and you always put a smile on our faces. You bring out the best in both Daddy and I. We are so grateful for you!

Lets see, at 19 weeks...

- You still love to stand up, go places, be outside, be the center of attention, and love your baths. You are getting more solemn in your baths, though. You kind of lean to the left and just stare at the water. Don't get me wrong, you still love to splash Mommy and Daddy too!

- You are getting better and better at solid foods. You just sit there like a baby bird with your mouth wide open waiting for your next bite. There are only a couple veggies that you like - Sweet potatoes and Carrots. Yikes! Can't wait til we can move up to stage 2 foods. And you are not a fan of cereal, unless it's in a bottle.

- A few nights this last week you have been too tired to eat your solid dinner. So we had to just give you a cereal bottle.

- You love to talk, but these days you talk with your hands in your mouth!!

- You're starting to show a little interest in toys, but you get over them within a few minutes.

- You are eating 4-6 ounces every 2 -2 1/2 hours and usually get 1 juice bottle a day. However, you've been rejecting the juice bottle lately. Not sure why! That's the good stuff, bubba!!

- You're Oh-so-adorable, all 17lbs and 6oz of ya. (Give a few oz)

- You are mostly in 6 -9 month clothes. Most of your pajamas are 12 mths and 18 mths and you are STILL ridiculously cute in pajamas!! You only have a few pajamas left that fit you. And it's starting to get colder and you do not have many Fall outfits. Mommy & Daddy are going to have to go shopping!!

- Teething, oh teething!! Mommy gets so sad to see you in teething pain. We recently discovered the teething tablets and they seem to work good for you. Here's to praying that continues. You are drooling like crazy and always want something in your mouth.

- Mommy and Daddy also think you are having growing pains. It's hard for you to get comfortable enough to sleep/rest. You are constantly kicking, twisting, swinging your arms and moving.

- Besides the teething you are normally pretty happy! You almost always wake up with a smile on your face. Mommy and Daddy love this!!

- You're in size 3 diapers!!!

Now.....for your 19 week pictures....

We love you, Masonbug!!

{Weekend Wrap-up}

The Halls had a very low-key weekend and it was quite nice! We didn't plan much since Mason was getting shots on Friday. We weren't sure how he'd react...plus shots on top of teething - not a good combination! Mason did well with the shots, though!

Friday night we went with the Halls to eat at Marty's Charcoal Hots. It's a small place in Hachie. The owner is a HUGE Rangers fan like us, so we usually end up talking to him for a while. :) The place has all kinds of sports memorabilia, mostly Rangers and it's pretty cool!

(Very sleepy boy!!)

Saturday morning we went to Pioneer Days in Ferris. Ferris Baptist Church was having their annual fishfry, so we got to visit some great friends! Nathan, Mason and I all had on our OU shirts! I made Masons "Boomer Sooner" shirt. I took tons of grief about it on Facebook...but then I think people were eating their words because OU whooped Texas!! Whoop Whoop!

That evening Mommy and Daddy went on a date with Trent and Krista. Nana kept Mason for a couple hours. It was really nice to be able to visit with T & K, but Mommy sure missed her baby boy!! I didn't get any picture, ugh!

Sunday we just hung out at home. Daddy did yard work while Mommy and Mason relaxed. Mason took a 3 hour nap in Mommy's arms while I watched my DVR. Later Mason took another 1 hour or so nap, and then was out for the evening by 6:30! Tired boy! Not sure if it's the teething, the shots, growing pains or all three!

{4 month Check-up}

*Must remember camera, must remember camera, must remember camera* - This is a note to myself for future reference!!

Today we faced the day I have been dreading for a while! Our 4 month checkup! I don't like that my baby boy has to get shots and be put in pain like that. Grrr!! I know it has to be done for his safety and health, but it sure does hurt a Momma's heart!

Mason did well, of course. Dr Gold said he's great!!

Weight - 17lbs 6oz - 75th percentile
Height - 26 1/4 inches - 75th percentile
Head - 17in - 50th percentile

Mason got 2 shots and 1 oral today. He did great and only cried for a few seconds. I just can't stand seeing his bottom lip pucker up!!! I hope he knows that he will get anything he ever wants from me if he just gives me that bottom lip. Just kidding. Kind of.

Hanging out at Momma's office before the appt:

Such a big boy!

Waiting on the Dr:

After the shots - sleepy boy

Mason, you are such a CHAMP! We love you to the moon and back. Thank you Jesus for making our son so healthy and strong!

{18 Week Pictures}

More 18 week pictures!

Quite possibly my most favorite picture of all times!!!

{18 Weeks}

Our sweet baby boy is now 18 weeks!!!

That's 126 days, 3024 hours, 181,440 minutes that you have been with us Mason!! Best 181,440 minutes of my life!!

Thank you for bringing so much joy and happiness into our lives. We are forever blessed because of you. Our universe is centered around you and we wouldn't have it any other way!!!

Lets see, at 18 weeks...

(we are going to video this tonight) You're not a big fan of "greens", but who can blame you. We recently tried Green Beans and you did not like them! We had to hurry and switch to our faithful sweet potatoes!!!

- Last night you ate 1 container of sweet potatoes, 1 container of peaches, a few bites of green beans and 1 (4 oz) bottle of milk with cereal in it right before bed. You were hungry!!! Mommy and Daddy were so worried you were going to have a tummy ache, but you did just fine. You're a growing boy, that's for sure.

- You love to talk, but these days you talk with your hands in your mouth!!

- You're still not that interested in toys, but love Mommy's iPhone.

- You are 4-6 ounces every 2 -2 1/2 hours and get 1 juice bottle a day

- Not sure how much you weigh (we'll find out on Friday), but we know it's over 17lbs.

- You are mostly in 6 -9 month clothes. Most of your pajamas are 12 mths and 18 mths and you are STILL ridiculously cute in pajamas!!

- Teething, oh teething!! Yesterday you didn't have a very good day. Aunt Leslie said you were very uncomfortable and fussy. It hurts Mommy's heart so much to see you in pain. I bought you some teething tablets and those seem to be working good for you! Let's pray they continue to work and spare Mommy's heart!! And your pain too, of course!!

- Besides the teething you are normally pretty happy! You almost always wake up with a smile on your face. Mommy and Daddy love this!!

- Just bought your first box of size THREE diapers!!!

Now.....for your 18 week pictures. Mommy is really sad because her camera was on the wrong setting for most of these :( But you're adorable even in a blurry picture!

You're teething, so we can't keep your hands out of your mouth!!

And this is what happens when we try! You're fast!!

 We love you, MasonBug!!
