{That time hubby and I went to Ranger's Opening Day...}

Whoa! Just realized I never posted about Opening Day 2013! Where in the world have I been? ha!

Well, we went.

Had a blast tailgating.

And then sad to admit, the game was kind of boring.

I can't believe I just said that! I absolutely LOVE Ranger games! There's just something about the ballpark. It's one of my "Happy Places". The smell of the concession food and fresh cut grass, the sound of the ball hitting off the bat, the songs the players choose as they walk up to bat, the crowd, and the game. I just love the "atmosphere" of the ballpark. I will jump at any chance I can to go to a game. It's America's My Favorite Pastime!

The opening ceremonies were quite touching. Robbie Parker, the father of Emily Parker who passed away in the Sandy Hook Elementary shootings, threw out the first pitch. Talk about emotional! Ivan Rodriguez caught the pitch. Amazing.

But after all the Opening Day ceremonies were over, the hype and excitement died down in our section. Everyone in our group had too much fun tailgating and were quiet during the game. Seriously! At one point I counted 4 people asleep. FOUR! ha! It was pretty funny. But, really, that should tell you right there how "quiet" our section was!

But all in all...not much beats being at the Ballpark!

{Potty Training}

The perks of being a boy!!

Mason started potty training on Monday, March 11th.
And? He has pretty much conquered it!!!

That Friday before his teacher asked me to bring him undies. So, we went straight to the store to pick out some "new" ones for school. Mason was excited and picked out "Cars" undies. I packed them in his bag Monday morning and the rest is history!

They put him in undies at 8:00 am that morning and he went all day {even through nap} with no accidents. Of course when he got home he had a few accidents. He would tell us as he was going instead of before he needed to go. That only lasted a few days, though.

He is in undies 90% of the time. He has been sleeping in our bed so best believe we throw a pull up on him at night! ha. Although, 9 times out of 10 he wakes up dry.

We are so, so proud of him!

Reading - The Bible, Naptime is the New Happy Hour, and of course blogs. Some of my favorite blogs right now?  Amanda, Ashlea, Stephany, Lauren, Amanda, Monica, Savanah, I will stop here as this list could get really long!

And, I've had a great week finding new blogs and new friends. Definitely check these out... Sarah, Karen, Jamie, LeeAnn, Emily, Whitney, Alesha

Writing - in my journal, planner and blog.

Listening to - A mixed cd in the car...a little Bart Crow, Kasey Musgraves, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles {for the boy}, Casting Crows, etc.

Thinking that - my head hurts, but my heart hurts worse. Boston and West, TX are heartbreaking.

Wishing - for a better, safer, more beautful world.

Watching - too much! Touch, The Following, Beauty and the Beast, Scandal, Revolution, Nashville, 90210, Hart of Dixie, Revenge, Army Wives, Duck Dynasty, Dallas...and maybe a few more.

Looking forward to - the weekend, Mason's blast ball game on Saturday, Amanda's baby girl's party on Sunday.

{Birchbox vs Ipsy Glam Bag}

Birchbox teamed up with Women's Health for the April box. Below are the products I received:

Caudalie Divine Oil -

Vitivia Vitamin capsules -

Nexxus® Youth Renewal™ Rejuvenating Elixir -

Mirenesse Glossy Kiss -

Simple Revitalizing Eye Roll-on -

 My thoughts on this box....eh, it's okay. I like the texture of the Glossy Kiss, but bright red? I could never pull that off. As for the vitamins, there aren't enough there to make a difference or to see if they are effective for me. And at $55 for 28 capsules? No thanks! I'm excited about the Revitalizing Eye Roll on. I have huge dark circles under my eyes. It doesn't matter if I get 4 or 14 hours of sleep, they're always there. I'm also excited about the Nexus hair stuff!

 Products I received:

Big Sexy Hair - Powder Play -

Sation Nail Lacquer in the shade of Of Corset I'll Call You -

MicaBeauty - Mineral Eyeshadow in the shade of Earth -

Be A Bombshell Blush in the shade of Sweet Cheeks -

My thoughts....LOVE! Ipsy for the win! First of all, can we talk about how cute that bag is? You had me at pink! The nail polish is the perfect shade of ballerina pink. It seemed to strenghthen my nails too! And the blush...I've been looking for a shimmery pink blush and this one is perfect. I haven't tried the eyeshadow yet, but the shade is gorgeous. And who doesn't love Big Sexy Hair products?

 Every month I am disappointed by Birchbox. There's usually only 1 product that I like whereas with the IPSY I love almost everything and actually use it. But, I keep holding out on cancelling Birchbox. I guess I just have hopes that it will get better

Do you get the Birchbox or Ipsy Glam bag? Which do you prefer?

I was not compensated by BIrchbox or Ipsy for this post. All opinions are my own.
